Drugstore Beauty Supplies

Beginner Drugstore Makeup Tools
Superdrug Eyelash Curlers (buy here)/Real Techniques Core Collection (buy here)/ Boots Sponge-Wedges (buy here)/ Cosmopolitan Beauty Blender (buy here)
I recently stepped into Boots with the aim of replacing a few items (disposable sponges, new tube of lipstick and so on) and came out with more shopping bags than I bargained for. I frequently get carried away in there, trying out new products, oohing and aahing at all the the shiny things, taking a whiff of perfume samples; I take my sweet time. Anyway, I thought I would share with you guys, some of my staple drugstore beauty supplies/tools you might want to check out when next you're in Boots, Superdrug or any other drugstore near you.

First on my list, is a basic metal eyelash curler and can I just if you don't have one of these, you need to get one now just because they make a world of difference. I would recommend getting one with rubber pads and curling your lashes before you apply mascara to avoid breakage. My preferred method of application for foundation or tinted moisturiser will always be the foundation brush and for that reason, the real technique brushes have to be on my list. They have been circulating the beauty world for quite some time now and I have to say that they are worth the hype. I would recommend investing  in their core collection which includes a Buffing brush, Detailer brush, Pointed foundation and Contour brush. These are also good key brushes to buy if you're trying to build up your brush collection.

Although nothing beats a good foundation brush, wedge-shaped sponges can are great for applying foundation on hard to reach area such as around your nose or areas that need contouring. My last makeup tool is the Cosmopolitan beauty blender, this is a dupe for the original beauty blender which happens to be too steeply priced for my taste. The Cosmopolitan blender blends gives a flawless, airbrushed finish. It's fantastic because it can be washed and reused over and again.

  1. It's sooooo easy to get carried away in boots!
I love the idea of the cosmopolitan sponge, think I may have to try it! Although I'm completely addicted to the buffing brush from the core collection, it would take a lot to sway me!
Infact I just blogged about my everyday brushes if you wanna check it out!

    1. You're not the only one, the huge one on Oxford Street is like my little playground. I would stick with the real techniques buffing brush (you can't tear me away from mine). I'll make sure to check it out, thanks for the lovely comment.

  3. Is it bad that I don't own any eyelash curlers?! I think I need some, I bet they really do make the difference. x
