The Closet Confidential Tag

Today, I'm going to be doing the Closet Confidential Tag which I believe was created by Fleur DeForce on Youtube. I've wanted to do a tag on my blog for a while now and I really like the questions for this tag so I thought I would give it a go.

1. What is the oldest item in your wardrobe/closet?
I recently did a major clear out in my wardrobe so the oldest item in my wardrobe is from about three years ago when I was fifteen. It's a pair of flared patchwork jeans from a store called Justice. They don't fit me anymore but I keep them hidden in my wardrobe for a good laugh. I used to style them with cropped tops, I still cringe just thinking about how ridiculous I looked.

2. What is the newest item?

The newest items in my wardrobe are these Hippy Black Patent sandals I picked up from Office last week. The weather has been particularly lovely so I though why not? They can go with anything and they will be perfect for when I go on holiday with my family. I also found them online so you guys can go check them out (here).

3. What is the most expensive item?

The most expensive item in my closet/wardrobe would have to be a very very generous birthday gift from my Dad. My Prada tote bag is definitely the most expensive item in my wardrobe because I would never spend that much money on a bag even if I had that kind of money to spend. Either way I love everything about it from the details to the structure to how massive it is and it goes without saying that it has a special place on the top shelf of my wardrobe.

 4. What is the cheapest/most affordable item?
The cheapest most affordable item in my wardrobe that I wear almost everyday would have to be my round neck t-shirts from Primark. I have one in white, grey and dark blue and they are all currently in the wash. I was able to get all three for £5 so technically they are my cheapest/most affordable 'items' and one of my bargains. They are a great base for any outfit I style them with skirts, underneath jumpers, the list is endless.

5. What was the biggest bargain?

Speaking of bargains, I love a good bargain and I didn't have to think very long to decide what my biggest bargain was, my Dr Marten Lace Up Boots. There's a story behind this one so I went to America with my mum a while back for a  friend of the families wedding in Houston. While we're there I tag along with my cousin who is one of those really annoying people that get the best luck while thrifting. Let me just say that American thrift stores are massive compared to the tiny charity shops we call thrift shops here in England so by the time I found these boots I was exhausted. I got them for (drum roll please) $45 now you're probably thinking how's that a bargain that's still a lot of money but $45 comes to about £26.71 according to Google and seeing as it usually retails for about £100 it's a bargain in my book. I remember I got out of there as fast as I could just in case the cashier made a mistake or changed her mind. These are so versatile and I wear them whether it's spring or winter.

6. What was the biggest waste of money?
The biggest waste of money in my wardrobe which I got rid off on eBay would have a be a cropped duck egg blue blazer I got from ASOS. I'm not really sure what exactly I was thinking when I got this online. When it finally got delivered, the fit was wrong, the colour was off and by the time I got back to returning it, it had passed the returns policy timeframe. I'm sure it would look great on whoever bought it off me on eBay as long as they know how to style it. The blazer just wasn't for me.

BONUS QUESTION
7. Your favourite items right now?

I cheated with the bonus questions as I could only think of two items in my wardrobe. The first item is a black leather jacket from ASOS, this jacket is a wardrobe staple and great for when it's sunny outside but still a bit chilly. My second favourite item at the moment would have to be the skirt I got from Motel Rocks. My sister gave me a voucher and I went on their website knowing exactly what I wanted as I have had my eye on it for a while now. The print is gorgeous and I wore this skirt out yesterday with my new hippy black patent sandals.

Try it out and leave a comment below so I can check yours out.

*I literally just realised that all the items I photographed for this tag are black. Awkward. What can I say? I can never have enough black or white items in my wardrobe.
